Company History
Bill Rhodes established Rhodes and Stafford, Inc. in September 1976 as the W.H. Rhodes Company. Bill was formerly National Wholesale Sales Manager for the Hartell Pump Division of the Milton Roy Company. Rhodes moved the new company from Atlanta, Georgia to Concord, North Carolina due to product line and territory availability. North Carolina, South Carolina, and Southern Virginia were the territories to be served.
In June of 1986, Rhodes combined his agency with the agency of Ed Carlson, forming Rhodes and Carlson, Inc. Rick Stafford, who was a factory salesman for Halstead Industries, was hired in 1988. Ed Carlson retired in 1992, making his interest in Rhodes and Carlson available for purchase by Stafford.
The new company, Rhodes and Stafford, Inc. was then formed. Corporate headquarters were moved to Greensboro, NC, with warehousing and office facilities established. The firm now employs two inside and six outside sales persons expanding the territories served to include Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland, and Delaware.
