Bio

Rick began his career in the HVAC/R industry in 1986. After graduating from San Francisco State University in 1983, and spending several years in the restaurant business as well as the office machine business, Rick was hired by Halstead Industries, a manufacturer of copper tubing, pipe insulation, and line sets, to be an outside salesman in North and South Carolina, calling on wholesale distributors of HVAC, Refrigeration, and Plumbing products. In June of 1988, Rick went to work for Rhodes and Carlson, a Manufacture’s Rep Agency headquartered in Concord, NC, owned by Bill Rhodes and Ed Carlson. Ed retired in June of 1992 making his interest in the company available to Rick for purchase, resulting in the formation of Rhodes and Stafford, Inc. After spending 30 years as a rep, Bill Rhodes decided to retire in 2005. Rick purchased the remaining shares of Rhodes and Stafford stock from Bill, and has operated the company as President since that time.
